We carry a "classic rock" format, mainly songs from 1965 to 1985 with a taste of the early days to some of the rock
songs of today. The 102.7 FM signal originates from atop a tower on top of the highest point in Kentucky. Black
Mountain is located on the Virginia - Kentucky border between Appalachia, VA and Lynch, KY. The antenna will be 80 feet
above ground level which is 1280 meters above sea level. This vantage point will allow this format to be heard all over
southWestern Virginia and Eastern Kentucky. A class A, 6000 watt station can be easily be heard in Cumberland, Benham,
Lynch, Harlan, Whitesburg KY. and from it's vantage point high above the valley, Norton, Big Stone Gap, Wise, Duffield,
Coeburn, Pennington Gap, Jonesville, Gate City and in to Kingsport / Bristol, TN and even into Johnson City, TN.
Over the last five years we have enjoyed bringing Today's Best Country to the listeners of "J-99" and will strive to do the
same with the new "K-102". nbsp;Long live Classic Rock.
