Locker Talk

Lost Girl Camping

Chapter Two

Ding-Dong!

“Come in.”

“Hello, I will help you with your bags. My mom told me we are going to be leaving in an hour.  In the mean time let’s decide what DVD we want  to watch on the ride there.”

Now the girls are searching through Kayla’s DVD cabinet.  They found some ones they liked. “I like 13 Going on 30!”

“Oooh,  I love Angel’s in the Outfield!”

“We can take both” said Kayla.

The girls went over their check list, making sure they didn’t forget anything.  They had everything.  Brittany asks Kayla what the campsite is like because she has never been camping before.  Kayla tells her “each family gets their own camp area with a fire pit.  Also it has a clothes line to hang your bathing suit.  Near the camp site there is a swimming area.  It is called Lake Millow. We are also going to be bringing Sam and Max. They are going to go for walks with us. Even though you shouldn’t really bring pets to the campsite, my dad talked to the advisor,  and they said it would be okay.  My parents said it was our job to feed them the puppy chow.

“Girls it is time to go.”

“Okay mom.  We will be out in a minute!”

The girls made sure they had everything they needed.  Then they fought over who would get the window seat.  Brittney ended up winning. They plugged in the DVD player and began watching Angels in the Outfield.

“What a great movie!” Kayla said.

“I know—I thought it wasn’t going to like it,” Brittany said.

“I am going to rest my eyes for a little while.”

“I guess I will too,” Brittany replied

“But only because we have an hour and a half to go.”
