HAC gets the funk out ma face! After back to back lackluster games, the boys in black put together 78 minutes of
good soccer. The 2 minute lapse cost us a goal, but at the end of the day we finished up with a satisfying win. It seems
all it took was a little visual motivation for Ron to regain his scoring touch. And touch he did! As a matter of fact, Ron's
play brought tears to Jim G's eyes and for the first time it wasn't because he wouldn't pass the ball! Yes it was truly a
wonderful day. We did our best to keep Hal bored in the net. Aside from a very hard earned goal by Moorestown, he almost could
have pulled up a chair and watched. Granted the opposition was clearly shorthanded, but it was great to see the midfield as
strong as they've ever been. Some (re: Jim G) say it was due to the fact that we were missing John, Brad, and Chris, but I
say it was a great effort none the less. Something tells me Moo II won't be short the next time we meet in a couple of weeks.
It was nice to see Mark back out on the pitch along with newcomer Ellis. Alan Quartermain did a nice job putting the ball
away for his first of the year. There seems to be some sort of interesting dynamic shaping up on the sidelines. It appears
that Coach Billy and interim Coach Vince have been putting together some curious matchups. One obvious missing piece to the
puzzle looks to be the absence of yours truly at the stopper position. Excuse me while I digress for an hour. I see this as
a win-win solution. By putting the senior member of the team at stopper, he runs around for 5 minutes per quarter, thus enabling
much more playing time for the other fullbacks. My only guess as to why this isn't happening is due to the fact that Bill
and Vince are either anti-union or age discriminate. Speaking of labels, can anyone tell me if that was "toeball" written
on Billy M's forehead. Please get back to Cedric with an answer ASAP! Next up Harrison. Please be sure to make the trip. Last
time out we had one sub and gave away a win due to fatigue. ( at least that's my excuse and I'm stickin to it) Should be a
good game. They look very stingy on defense and have an opportunistic offense. Happy Easter and see you in two weeks. Hey,
it may even break the freezing mark by then.

Ugly as sin, but a win is a win! After a tough loss the week before, HAC was ready to jump all over their next opponent. Yeah, right. Primed
to jump out of the gate fast, we saw a very short bench on our side and the "Blue Army" on the other side. Northern Burlington
must have sensed this and definitely came ready to play. The first half saw limited attacks by both sides with a small amount
of scoring chances. Hal came up big for the better part of the day. Much more than he should have. Half way through the third
quarter NB got on the board. On a corner kick, their striker put a head on the ball for a nice goal. There was some thinking
that perhaps the fullback (?) could have stopped the play had he tried running with the cutter. Well, maybe. After trailing
1-0 and much gnashing of teeth, the black and gold finally decided to play some soccer. The beginning of the fourth quarter
saw Ron make a nice pass to a streaking Billy who promptly buried the ball in the back of the net. Minutes later, Billy once
more put a crushing shot on net for his second goal and the final goal of the game. On a side note, we ran out of calendars
trying to time the actual shot. Although we all agreed we played horribly for three quarters, hats off to Northern Burlington
for playing a very good game. Next week presents the rubber match with Moorestown II. It is the hope of this writer to see
a few more faces at that time. Go HAC.

We wuz on a roll. After two pretty impressive wins, HAC ran into a wall against CH East. There were a lot of excuses to be
had, weather, missing guys, injured guys, however none really fit the bill. We were outplayed between the 18's for the better
part of the game. We did have our chances, unfortunately we did not capitalize. We did have a bit of luck on two occasions
when the ball careened off the crossbar and our fullback (?), rolled toward the net, and was finally scooped up by Timmmmmmay.
Another play saw the fullback (?) attempt to stop the ball with his leg, only to see it slip away and roll in the opposite
direction of our goalie's path. The goose egg, only our second ever, hurt pretty bad. The bright spot in the day was reading
how the rest of the league fared. Hopefully we'll regroup for next week's game against Northern Burlington. (doubtful, read
above)
