Holy Cross finishes another successful campaign
The boys in maroon and grey had another fine season. Although they finished around the .500 mark, as a team they have
picked up a lot of experience. Coach Mullarkey didn't shy away from the schedule. Holy Cross battled some pretty impressive
names in the wrestling world. Delran, Eastern, Rancocas Valley, Kingsway, St Augustine, Collingswood, and some stiff competition
in the Holy Cross and Hunterdon Tournaments. There were a lot of matches that were not pretty, but there were also a lot of
nice surprises along the way. Sorely missed will be the graduations of Chris Notte and Travis Pennell. Their experience and
leadership will leave a void in the wrestling room. Next year should prove exciting to see who will pick up the banner and
lead the team. Congatulations to Chris Notte who finished out his senior year with some nice credentials. 1st in Districts,
1st in Regions, and 5th in the state. We know his season didn't end the way he hoped, but his accomplishments are impressive
just the same. Another big winner this year was Travis Pennell. He finished a fine season with a second place finish in the
districts. Although he didn't place in the region tourney, he represented himself well before losing a close match with his
Delran adversary. Someone whom he wrestled 4 times in one month, each time getting closer and closer to victory. Let it also
be known, the 140lb weight class was stacked with a lot of talent this year. Our last medalist this year was Jeff Longley.
Jeff finished third in the districts. He had the unenviable task of wrestling either Brendon Griffin or undefeated Dealo Fourney.
Next year we return with more experience and a new hunger for greater glory. Good luck to the graduating seniors and next
years returning group. Thank you to all the coaches who put in a lot of extra personal time and effort. A special thank you
to Theresa Notte along with Jay and Cindy Pennell for all their behind the scenes work they did to make this and all the past
years successful for the boys. Finally, thank you to ALL the parents who went above and beyond the
call of duty in helping out the team. The groundwork for next year has been laid before us. Let's hope we have another in
a continuing line of wonderful seasons.

HC improves to 7-5
After a long day of wrestling with Cinnaminson, Palmyra, and Willingboro, Holy Cross emerged with a 7-5 overall record.
As the team moves through the schedule they seem to be gaining momentum towards the sectionals. Although some pretty impressive
foes stand in the way, things are starting to look better for the good guys. Some new guys from this year and fresh faces
from last year are starting to make their presence felt in the lineup. Tonight is senior night for Travis, Chris, and Caitlyn(sp?).
Thanks for all you've done with your 4 years here and good luck throughout the rest of this year and in your future dreams.

First Annual Holy Cross Christmas Wrestling Tournament
Holy Cross will be hosting it's first annual Christmas Tournament on Friday 12/23/05. It will feature 16 teams from across
the state. This is a great undertaking for the wrestling club. Volunteers are still needed. It's also a great opportunity
to get some school service hours. More importantly, it's a great way to get into the spirit of giving. Your time and effort
will be greatly appreciated, so sign up now it's not too late. Just see anyone from the wrestling team or stop into the main
office. Thanks again.
