Upper Susquehanna Contradance is taking a break to get reorganized. Stay tuned for further details.

Everyone is welcome at our dances; you don't need any dancing experience, nor do you have to bring your own partner. Just dress comfortably and wear clean soft-soled shoes to protect the floor. Each dance features live music and a caller who teaches the dance figures and steps before the music starts. For those among you who are concerned about cardiovascular fitness, contradancing provides a carefully balanced combination of vigorous exercise and flirting which should keep your heart rate up all evening. Admission cost for our dances is as follows:

Adults $7
College students with ID $4
Under 18 $2
Under 12 Free

The Otsego Dance Society (our neighbors, but a separate organization) holds contradances at 8:00 PM on the first Friday of each month, with some exceptions, located at the Presbyterian Church, on Pioneer St. in Cooperstown.

Their admission charges are: Adults, $7, teens $2, 12 and under, free.

Feb. 6- Caller Garry Aney with John Potocnik (fiddle) and Carol Mandigo (guitar). Featuring Revolutionary War dances.

March 7 or 8- afternoon dance with Irish theme; caller and band TBA.

April 3- Sue Rosen calling with Phantom Power.
