Changes in attitudes changes in lattitudes....
Been a lot going on. I'm down to the wire in completing my bachelors degree- not easy when approaching 40 with
a family and a job that requires a lot of travel.....Things on the train front have been kinda on hold. I haven't been
able to get parts to finish the rolling stock projects in progress but have begun laying track in the helix. Lesson
1- it's easier with a removable top...maybe I'll get that right next time.
I finally got around to starting the module group I've been wanting to. It's on yahoo, the On30 modules mid atlantic
group. Stop by and check it out. It's a narrow gauge version of the national freemo standard, designed
to be compatable with the NBRN group.
I'll be posting more come July when school is done for good. Until then life is short- get out (or stay in ) and
enjoy yourselves!

Updates
I'm on the road but finally got around to pdating the photos from last weekends work. Silly me forgot to get a
photo of the mine section though. I also did a quick trackplan in Paint, not really happy with it but it's a start.

Keeping up and on
Benchwork Complete! (see benchwork page)
Getting down to the wire on this chapter of the Yaak. I've got three weeks of road work coming up, SLC and Picayune
Mississippi. That means a shift to rolling stock after this weekend.
I'm behind on the Midget project so that will be coming on the road with me. I'll also be packing some kits from
Trout Creek Engineering(formerly Taurus models). 20' ore cars. I'm having troubles getting trucks right now so
until that problem is taken care of I won't be able to finish things but I'll take the projects as far as I can. I probably
won't have the digital camera either but I'm still negotiating on that.
For this weekend- small fine tuning stuff to get the benchwork in order. Now that it's built it needs to have the final
install done.

A sad day for all

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something
like "I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should drive...." And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the sky
was full of what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, which was going about a hundred
miles an hour with the top down to Las Vegas. And a voice was screaming: "Holy Jesus! What are these goddamn animals?"
Then it was quiet again. My attorney had taken his shirt off and was pouring beer on his chest, to facilitate the tanning
process. "What the hell are you yelling about?" he muttered, staring up at the sun with his eyes closed and covered with wraparound
Spanish sunglasses. "Never mind," I said. "It's your turn to drive." I hit the brakes and aimed the Great Red Shark toward
the shoulder of the highway. No point mentioning those bats, I thought. The poor bastard will see them soon enough. -- From

Updates
The Benchwork section has begun, feel free to check it out! I hope to get into the second level this weekend.
I've been revising the trackplan slightly and that is affecting where I am right now.
I've posted a PDF file on modifying a bachmann boxcar to my standards. Yes I have standards!
I'm also knee deep in a surprise project. I bought and assembled a couple of cars from On30 IMA and they were not
what I was looking for- Great models mind you just not a good fit for my vision. What to do, what to do........I came
up with a pretty unique solution and hope to get it posted soon. I just need some parts to arrive.....
