Homework
STEP ONE: At the beginning of each month read about
the habit of the month on this website. There are usually two pages. Somewhere in the text you will see Homework Alert! in blue boldface. This will tell you what your goal for the month is going
to be.
STEP TWO: Work on ways to incorporate the habit into
your lifestyle over the following weeks.
STEP THREE: Read your email more or less daily.
You will get one email reminder per day for each habit we work on. So, in September, you'll only get one reminder per
day. But in October you'll get two a day, in November you'll get three, et cetera.
~~ Did you work on it or not?
~~ Did it make you feel any different?
~~ Do you have any insights or tips you'd like to share?
~~ If you didn't do well, what did you have trouble with?
If you're uncomfortable writing about your real
life experiences you may write in character and give it a wizarding world slant.
Post a minimum of 50 words. Please don't go
over a maximum of 500 words. There is no penalty for a shorter answer, and likewise no bonus for a longer one.
If you like you can start your forum post at the
beginning of the month and then continue to edit it as the month progresses -- kind of like a mini-blog. That way
you won't have to scramble to finish up by the deadline.
Speaking of deadlines, here they are (subject to
minor adjustments as needed):
- September Habit -- post homework until October 10th
- October Habit -- post homework until November 10th
- November Habit -- post homework until December 10th
- December Habit -- post homework until January 10th
- January Habit -- post homework until February 10th
- February Habit -- post homework until March 10th
- March Habit -- post homework until April 10th
- April Habit -- post homework until May 10th
- May Habit -- post homework until June 10th
- June -- Add a quick summary of your "Year of Wellness" by June 10th
Note: All emails will have the word "mana" somewhere
in the subject line, so you will probably want to set up a folder in your email to separate them from any other mail you get.
Also, you have a choice with Yahoo Groups of receiving individual emails or one daily digest. Pick the option that works
best for you. I personally prefer the individual mail because I have to think a little about the subject as I delete
each one.
All you need to do is to read the daily reminder/s,
think about them, delete them, then get on with your life! Try to follow the suggestions.
And yes, DELETE THEM! They will repeat about every month for three months,
so if you really want to keep copies you should probably print them.
