Our church is committed to caring for each other after the way
of Jesus. This caring is genuine and expressed in many acts of love toward each other. We also have a ministry of caring carried
out by our Board of Deacons. Our congregation is divided into 12 flocks, each under the care of a Deacon.
In addition our Pastor is available for home
and hospital visits and pastoral counseling.
Our Parish Nurse team attends to the medical
needs of our congregation.
When people come to our church, we want them
to know that they
will be cared for
with the love of Jesus.
Caring is expressed in fellowship activities
that are held throughout the year. We like to have fun together! For example, we have a strawberry festival, a Valentine’s
sweetheart’s dinner, a Seder meal, and Advent program and other times to be together. Our Board of Deacons regularly
holds Shepherding Suppers for our congregation. Our Old Enough Club meets monthly for lunch and fellowship, and anyone who
is “old enough” is invited to attend.
Our Women’s Ministry is vital part of the
caring ministry of our church with several women’s circles meeting for fellowship and service. Our Men’s Ministry
brings together the men of our church for food, fellowship, and service.
Prayer groups meet together to pray for the needs
of participants, our church, and our world. At FPC, caring is real!
