On Thu Sep 7 14:01 , 'Chaltas, David' sent:

release of The Legend and Legacy of Lee

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,

Please excuse my email and I shall be brief. I wish to announce the early release of my forthcoming book entitled, THE LEGEND AND LEGACY OF LEE. It is posted on http://www.lulu.com/davidchaltas and is available for purchase. The book entails Lee's Christian nature and the essence of his character, based on first hand accounts and people's impressions of him. Hopefully, it go global by October 15, 2006. It is currently available in paperback and soon be available in hard cover with sleeve. If you get an opportunity, please review it and pass the information forward. In this manner I can continue representing that fine Christian man known as General Lee to schools, churches, civic groups and reenactments. I pray that you are blessed this day and that this life, you live well.

I Remain Your Obedient Servant,

The Old General

Battle of Saltville

Battles lost or battles won

The outcome was forlorn

The only thing we know is true

The fallen men are gone.

The boys in blue aligned themselves

The fifer played his tune.

The Rebel men came o’er the hill,

The battle was begun.

Shots rang out, smoke filled the air

A soft prayer was uttered low.

The Rebel flag was held with pride,

Across the field they flowed.

A rifle cracked and Johnny fell

The battle flag fell low.

But another brave boy ran to the front

And raised the flag once more.

The battleground is silent now

The horses are no more.

The soldiers lie in graves around

O're ole Virginia's floor.
