Troop 490 has been a partner with St. Gregory the Great Church since 1971. We have all leaned on each other for
support. The "Knights of Columbus" has helped us by supplying a meeting place for us on Thursday. They have graciously rented
out the Knights' Hall without asking for compensation. The school has complemented us with the use of their school grounds
for meetings and campouts. The church has supported us by helping with advertising through popcorn sales and Scout Sundays. In
payment to the "Knights" and St. Gregory's the Troop has completed numerous Eagle Scout Projects. Some of the most recent
are the projects by Kevin Murphy (the two benches and flower arrangements outside of the Knight's Hall), Robert O'Donnell
(the multiple benches along the play fields), and Marvin Labre, a work in progress (large bird feeders). We have also done
odd jobs around the grounds. The Troop is also planning to add benches and awnings to the Food Pantry.
