Director at Large - Technique - Ron Evans
Ron Evans graduated from Allegany
High School in
1961. He played football and baseball for Frostburg State’s first football team and the baseball team as well, (co-captain of football
team senior year). Ron began teaching in the fall of 1966 and also coached football.
Evans and the Bobcats won 6 county meets from 1970 -1975, while capturing 7 region and 3 State
Meets in the same time frame. Evans retired from track coaching in 1996 with
a combined championship record of 58 counties, 53 regions, and 20 state titles.
Evans moved to Old Mill in 1975 to take the Head Football
and Head Track Positions…He coached football for 9 years (18 total) with a 39 and 23 record & 2 County
Championships.
Ron has achieved numerous Hall of Fame accolades including
his induction into the Anne Arundel County Hall of Fame October 20, 1999 and the Old Mill Athletic Hall of Fame on October
26, 2002.
Ron was honored with the Bob Pascal Award March 16,
1989 and won a Mapherd award for development of nationally recognized weight training program that served as a catalyst for
Old Mill being selected as a demonstration school. He was named National Federation
Maryland Boys Track & Field Coach of the Year 1996
and received the County Council Executive’s Physical Fitness Award in 1991.
While at Arundel High School from 1968-1975, Evans championship
track meet record includes 6 consecutive county meet trophies (first), 7 Straight Region Titles and State 3 Titles in 1970,1971,
and 1973.

Director at Large - Tennis - Brian Fankhauser
Brian is a United States Professional Tennis Association Certified Professional who graduated from Emporia
State University, an NCAA Division
II program, where he earned a Bachelor of Science, Business Management. During his collegiate career, he won the NAIA District
10 Singles and Doubles Championships and played in the National Championships in 1992. He directed his own USTA/National Junior
Tennis League for five years and was the Kansas District Coordinator for the program in 1993. He is also a member of Wilson Racquet Sports Advisory Staff and a former certified USTA/NTRP
Mid-Atlantic Verifier. In his 14th year as Director of Tennis, Brian continues to improve and intensify the level of junior
play and coordinates excellent junior and adult programs. Brian and his family live in Clarksburg,
MD.
Director at Large - Wrestling - Bruce Schwalm
Bruce has been the Commissioner for Seneca Sports Association (SSA) Wrestling since 2006. He served on
the SSA Board of Directors as an at-large member for 3 years before joining Clarksburg Sports Association.
Bruce is a college graduate who is an IT consultant to Federal Government agencies in the area. He has coached soccer, football and wrestling
for Seneca Sports Association since 2003.
Bruce and his family have lived in Germantown, Md. for 12 years. His
son plays football for the Clarksburg Coyotes pony tackle team; his daughter plays soccer for Soccer Association of Maryland
(SAM).
Director at Large - Track and Field - John O'Brien
John O’Brien has 10 years of experience in track and field. He is a four time
long jump high school state champion and all American also competing in the high jump, triple jump, 100 and 200 meters. He
was also part of 4X100 meter championship relay team. John received a full scholarship to the University of the
District of Columbia (UDC) where he competed in the NCAA Division II Championships. In college he specialized in the
long jump where he competed in the Penn Relays while also competing in the 4X100 meter relay. John is a certified official
for USATF. John graduated from UDC in 1991 with a Bachelors of Communications.
John has over 10 years experience in Fundraising and Development. He started his fundraising career at Georgetown
University where he was responsible for raising $1.2M for the annual fund from alumni. After a successful $1Billion campaign with Georgetown
University, John moved to George Washington
University where he was responsible for raising funds as part of the GW Parents
Campaign. John is currently Director of Development for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta
(OI) Foundation in Gaithersburg,
MD. OI is a genetic disorder characterized by bones
that break easily.
At the OI Foundation, John works closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors
with the primary responsibility for the formulation, direction, and implementation of a comprehensive and continuing major
donor and corporate relations program.
John continues to have a passion for track and field, particularly with respect to long jumping. He mentors several youth in track and field, where he is able teach the sport of long
jumping. The youth that John has mentored have seen noticeable improvements in
their long jump abilities and in self confidence.
John currently resides in Germantown, Maryland with his wife and daughter. John’s
daughter participates in the track and field sport in the following events: 200
Meter, 400 Meter and 200 Meter Hurdles.
Chief
Financial Officer - Kathy Sloan
Kathy grew up in Michigan. She attended Michigan Technological University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree
in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She obtained certification in the State of Maryland as a Certified
Public Accountant and has spent most of her career in public accounting.
Kathy is experienced with corporate, partnership, individual and nonprofit organizations both from the audit as well as
the tax side. She has run her own accounting business for the last 10 years while subcontracting with a national CPA firm.
In addition, Kathy spent 8 years with a real estate investment firm first as an asset manager and then as head of the investment
communications group for a $3.5 billion real estate portfolio. As an asset manager her major function was to identify and
resolve problems with the investment through communication and negotiation with management agents, general partners, housing
agencies and lenders. This included review and approval of audited financial statements and tax returns, preparation of tax
and cash flow projections, analysis of actual to budget comparisons, collection and analysis of monthly marketing and operating
information, and analysis and application of legal documents. As head of the investment communications group, she improved
investor reporting by creating Investment Benefit Summaries for over 150 partnerships that showed estimated tax and cash benefits
from the investments. She also improved internal operations by standardizing forms and creating a department manual.
Presently, Kathy is the controller for a $8M commercial painting and wall covering contractor. Kathy and her family have
lived in Montgomery County for over 24 years and lives in the Clarksburg Vicinity.

Executive Director - Kevin Hutto
Kevin has spent
much of his career in sales and marketing, developing growth strategies for products and organizations. In a Business Development
capacity for Bentley Systems, his role is to identify and manage global partnerships for the expansion of multiple engineering
software product lines into emerging growth markets and industry segments. Kevin grew up in Frederick and attended Thomas Johnson High School and Frederick
Community College.
At
Bentley, he routinely participates as a consultant to multi-billion dollar capital engineering projects reviewing and recommending
work process strategies and improvements. Working recently as a consultant to a leading engineering procurement
contractor on a $15billion project, he helped identify and eliminate engineering work process bottlenecks resulting in a 10x
increase in productivity.
Kevin
has played an active role in county youth sports, managed project teams and budgets and has served on several community
Leadership Boards. Kevin and his family have lived in Montgomery County for 18 years and are residents of Clarksburg.

Director
at Large - Football - Steve Forsythe
Steve was an outstanding
three-sport player at Williamsport High School. He not only excelled
in sports but also in the classroom, graduating Sum Cum Laud, thirty-second in his class.
After receiving numerous offers to play for major college institutions, Steve accepted a Senatorial Scholarship to
Frostburg State University. He went on to become an Associate
Press Little All American and a Kodak Division II All American and lead the nation in pass receiving for six consecutive weeks,
finishing 5th
Today, Steve still
holds the NCAA Division II and III record of most receptions in a single game,
16. The Cleveland Browns signed him where he caught passes from Brian Sipe and played along side Oze Newsome. His rights were traded to the Green Bay Packers where he played beside John Jefferson and James Lofton. Steve went on to spend a season with the Jacksonville Bulls in the USFL playing beside
Gary Clark.
Steve has spoken
to youth in school assemblies, youth groups and professional organizations and high school athletic teams. He was the JV Football
coach for Watkins Mill HS from 2004 - 2006. He is currently the head varsity football coach for Richard Montgomery HS. Steve and his family have lived in Montgomery
County for the past 10 years.

at Large - Golf - Jim Estes
Jim Estes has played
and taught golf professionally since 1988 and earned Class A membership in the PGA of America in 1993. In pursuing his fullest
potential as a player and instructor, Jim has been coached by some of the most accomplished instructors in the game —
teachers such as David Leadbetter, Jim Suttie, Jim Flick, and Mike Adams — as well as working alongside them as a teaching
professional.
Jim’s playing accomplishments include
earning exempt status on the PGA TOUR (with two top-15 finishes in 1998), playing in four U.S.Open Championships and one PGA
Championship, and winning on the Nationwide Tour.
Jim has demonstrated
outstanding proficiency at the highest level utilizing a holistic multi-disciplinary approach encompassing a golf specific
conditioning program, mental training strategies, a specific swing model based on physical attributes, along with equipment
fitting and course management.
Jim blends
his experience as a player with years of academic study of the game of golf. His PGA Tour-proven knowledge of golf swing mechanics
is equally balanced with his expertise in the physiology of the human body and his understanding of the psychology of the
game. Jim is certified by Dr. Greg Rose of the Titliest Performance Institute as a golf fitness trainer and worked with several
top sports psychologists as an instructor. Jim has also worked with Dr. David Wright, owner and founder of Mind Under Par
Golf Schools, who created mental training exercises for measuring and analyzing mental performance. His knowledge of the capabilities
and limitations of the human body and mind have helped him teach a wide range of students effectively, from beginners like
army specialist and single-amputee Sean Lewis to collegiate athletes to Senior Tour players like Carl Lohren.
Jim is currently
the PGA Director of Instruction at Olney Golf Park.
Jim and his family have lived in Montgomery County
