During each day from 9am till 3pm, campers will receive a balanced schedule consisting of technical instruction, structured
drill sessions, live wrestling, and conditioning. Camp is designed so that wrestlers
of all skill levels and ages can learn the fundamentals of wrestling, improve technique, develop good practice and match habits,
and have fun. Sportsmanship and positive mental attitudes are emphasized throughout
the camp. Campers will be grouped according to age and skill level for competitive
wrestling. Each day will consist of two sessions of drilling focusing on the
areas of takedowns, takedown defense, mat wrestling, escapes, reversals, breakdowns, and pinning combinations. There will be instruction, drilling, live wrestling and conditioning during each session. All campers should bring their water bottle, wrestling shoes, gym clothing, towel and a lunch. The main goal of the camp is to ensure a week in which students will receive first rate instruction about
the game and develop a love for a sport that will last a lifetime. All campers
will receive a T-shirt and skill evaluation at the end of the week. Cost of the
camp is $190 per camper. Optional skill development from 8-9am and/or 3-4pm can
be added for $15 each hour. A $15 early registration discount (valid until March
31st) will be applied at checkout. A multi-family (3 or more campers from the
same family) discount of 10% off the registration fees will also be applied at checkout.
