As a high school wrestler, coach Munsey placed 2^nd in the state tournament in 1996, wrestling for Wheaton High School.  In college, coach Munsey wrestled varsity for Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania (NCAA Division II) and the University of Maryland, College Park (NCAA Division I).  Before coming to Clarksburg, he was the head coach at Wheaton High School for 2 years.
