Big Train Baseball Manager Sal Colangelo brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to his
eighth season with the Big Train and now to Clarksburg Sports Camps. In 2005, he led the Big Train to a Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate
League Regular Season Championship in his first year as manager. Currently, Sal is the assistant activities director as well
as the assistant principal at his alma mater, Potomac High School in Woodbridge, VA. He was also the assistant varsity baseball
coach from 1997-2006. In addition, he is a baseball school instructor at the Chuck Faris Baseball School. Sal also acts as
an associate scout for the Anaheim Angels for Northern Virginia. Colangelo served as the assistant coach for the Big Train
from 1999-2004. From 1995-97, Colangelo served as the assistant baseball coach at Christopher Newport University in Newport
News, VA. From 1991 through 1995, Sal played baseball and football for Virginia Tech. Prior to and during college, he spent
two summers playing in the Clark Griffith League. An outstanding baserunner, he stole over 100 bases in high school, including
52 in just 18 games.
