Speed and Conditioning Camp 2009
Monday-Friday Grades 6-12
(grade as of 9/1/09) Evenings 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Location: Clarksburg (TBA) Fee: $125
The Coyote
Speed & Strength Conditioning Camp is open to all young athletes, male and female, of all ability levels, grades 6-12
(grade as of 9-1-09). The camp is designed to teach young athletes the essentials of speed, strength, and overall conditioning
for athletics. Running technique, agility, core strength, nutrition, flexibility, resistance training, and aerobic conditioning
will be among the areas of instruction for campers. Campers will participate in drills, sample workouts and various
general conditioning workouts. In addition there will some instruction on sport specific strength training. During
each daily session, campers will learn by doing and also learn through direct instruction by camp instructors’ and guest
speakers. Every camper will participate in drills and training exercises that will increase their speed, strength and
agility. The camp will be conducted by the coaching staff of the Clarksburg High School Track & Field program, led by
Scott Mathias, the Head Track & Field Coach. All campers should bring: 2 full water bottles, running shoes, clothing
appropriate for active participation, a change of clothes (especially extra socks), and a small towel. All campers will
receive a T-shirt. Cost of the camp is $125 per camper. A $10 early registration discount (valid until March 31st,
2009) will be applied at checkout. A multi-family (2 or more campers from the same family) discount of 10% off the registration
fees will also be applied at checkout.
