The Legend of Big Liz

^^^ Legend has it that if you stop on the bridge, turn your car off and honk 3 times, you may see the apparition of a
slave woman ("Big Liz") that told the Union that her Master, John Rustin, had been collecting gold for the Confederacy.
John Rustin took her to the swamp that she had burried the gold in, beheaded her with a tobacco knife and left her in the
swamp.

DeCoursey Bridge Road
(The road that the bridge is on wasn't marked when we were there- we just got lucky, but if you stop
at the Cambridge Visitors Center they'll probally be able to steer you in the right direction but don't forget to bring your
rabbits foot.)
Harriet Tubman was------------here. ---------and here...----------and here too!
Bucktown Village Store

^^^ Some believe that it was here that Harriet Tubman was hit in the head with a 2 pound weight in 1834 or 1835. The
injury caused her to randomly fall asleep her at times throughout her entire life.

Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center

^^^ This small museum in Cambridge, Maryland was actually put together by a group of youth. All of the displays are very
imformative AND interesting (which is always a plus). Also, the woman looking after the museum that showed us areound was
without a doubt one of the nicest persons i've ever met (and her granddaughter was awefully cute too). Inside the museum on
the wall if a gorgous portrait of a life-size Harriet Tubman.
