Goals:
1. To provide patients with "Bag of Smiles" Creative Art Care Packages. These packages will promote activities such
as drawing, creative writing and sculpting. Hospital staff will distribute the packages while the children are
in the hospital.
2. To provide individual arts and craft kits to hospital departments and clinics where children wait for lengthy
treatments.
3. To offer patients a monthly card program. Handcrafted cards will be included with each Creative Art Care
Package. 4. To sponsor patients' attendance at the Progressive Education of Children in the Arts Network's
(PECAN, Inc.) annual art camp and seasonal workshops.
5. To provide families with assistance through workshops, seminars and family care kits. Families with
financial difficulties will be identified by a hospital worker. Care Kits may include personal toiletries for overnight
hospital stays as well as telephone cards, gift certificates for gasoline, groceries, and/or local restaurants.
