Here are some of the key game mechanics that drive this game.

Freedom

Arkavia is free and open to explore.  The majority of quests can be done at anytime.  Many require a few preconditions.  Although there is a main quest line that is the meat and potatoes of the game, there are many other story lines that one can follow and enjoy.

Magic

Magic in Arkavia is not as pronounced as other fantasy games.  Magic is normally rare and hard to use.

Turn Based Combat

Combat is done in a turn based system, much like many jRPG games.
