Overview Arkavia takes place in a medieval fantasy world. In this world, the Imperial Empire is at war with the Daedric Regime. Although there are countless other plotlines in the game, this war is the center of the main quest. Here are some of the many historical information within the game. It should be noted, that no real dates are available yet. They will be once the game is near complete. The Tullun Kingdom was the first true government of Man in Arkavia. The Tullun Kingdom's rule over the Dagon Peninsula was short lived. Warring tribes destroyed the kingdom, causing a mass exodus of people who began to settle in other areas of Arkavia. A small tribe called Dagon began to seize power. Their chieftain, Marrow, settled the tribe in what is now called Marrowhold. Soon he quested to restore the Tullun Kingdom. However this was short lived as well. Marrow was killed in battle and his son, Malice declared himself king. King Malice did not want to war anymore, content in his palace of decadence. Malice recalled the troops, and soon the other barbarian tribes enacted their revenge. Marrowhold was razed and burned to the grown. Many people were killed. King Malice survived the carnage, but dies of old age not long after. King Cardo, son of Malice, comes into power. He flees the Marrowhold to escape the constant raids by barbarian tribes. He orders the people to protect the city by constructing walls and other defenses. Once completed, he then ordered the exhausted populace to build him a palace that rivaled his father's. The people revolted, and soon King Cardo was assassinated by his own guards. The fourth in line of the Tullun Kingdom is King Cardia. He too flees the city, allowing Marrowhold to fall into civil conflict with rival military leaders trying to control the city. A rebellion soon forms. Lead by a group of wise old men, the Council of Elders forms. However they do not get their chance to take control,, King Cardia, along with supporters marches into the city and restores order. The swift justice King Cardia brings underminds the Council of Elders and support returns to the King of Tullun. Both King Cardia and the Council of Elders took no chances, they both made assassination attempts at the other. Council of Elders was successful in their efforts. King Cardia was found dead in a ruined building in the middle of Marrowhold. The Council of Elders are composed of members of great wisdom and age. They saw the ever growing threat if Gordica and the Imperial Empire and feared that they would acquire the barbarian tribes to the south and eventually Marrowhold itself. They voted to expand the Tullun territory, mustered troops, and began retaking territory the way King Marrow did. Using old battle plans saved before Marrowhold was first burned down, the Tullun forces overtook the old tribes and soon expanded the Kingdom to as far south as present day Firm. However, the new Kingdom of Tullun did not last very long. The old tribes resented being under Tullun rule once more and the Council of Elders sought ways to appease the tribes. The Council of Elders made the decision to replace the Tullun Kingdom with something else. The Council voted to name their land Dagon Cardia. Dagon, after the tribe where King Marrow, the most beloved leader of the Tullun Kingdom came from, and Cardia, the one who tried to assassinate the Council of Elders. This appeased the tribes to some degree, allowing the Council of Elders to remain in power to this day. After the razing of Marrowhold, many of the people fled the area. A number of them headed east. There they came across Zenthir. It is unclear how he did it, but Zenthir was able to control of the wondering population. He founded a city on an island, Xyrodill and began creating a better tomorrow for the people. Never failing, never stopping, he used any means necessary to expand the Xyrodillic Kingdom. His most loyal friend and trusted advisor, General Daedric, at some point became jealous and murdered Zenthir in the hopes of becoming king himself. This was not the case, he fled persecution to the east until he could go no more. After a number of heirs to the throne, King Zenthir III dies, leaving his wife Queen. Queen Alyson held onto power for only a short time. Her adopted son, Zenithir is enraged that was passed over at leader of the Kingdom. He raising an army and attacks Xyrodill. He murders his stepmother and declares himself an Emperor. He removes all remnants of the Xyrodill Kingdom and forms the Imperial Empire. He uses his loyal Legions to enforce his new law. Since then the Empire grew in prosperity. It nearly doubled in size and soon began the long war with the Regime, taking even more territory in the form the House and Coalition Provinces. It will soon be only a matter of time before the Empire conquers the other nations in Arkavia. The following is from an in game book. Chapter 1 - Origin of the Papers Chapter 3 - High Power A book that was damaged during transit from Marrowhold talks about something bigger in play. A 'Spirit Council' that oversees everything that happens and that played a rule in Man's creation. The details are burnt and unreadable, but this is what is known from the text. The Council oversees all. It sends Spirits to aid in their wishes. The Council is older then Arkavia. The Council is currently at war with powerful Demons that seek the destruction of everything. Part of that war was waged in Arkavia and there is evidence of it here. But that evidence is unreadable in the text, so it is unknown. Dragons are real, and are allied with the Demons to some degree. Information on this alliance is unknown. The book mentions that an Empire will be blessed by the Council. Is it the Imperial Empire? Or the Dros Empire? All that is known about this blessing that it will be reveled to a 'Holy Empress'.
