A little alliteration never hurt anyone!

"Maine Surf"

My gosh! Don't get too close to this one, or you will get soaked by the salty spray!  One of my favorite places on earth is Maine.  A beautiful stumbling sculpture of sea and rocks and sand and surf.  A primal melody of natures endless soothing sounds. Ever gone to sleep with the sound of surf in your ears? and the smell of the salt?  Or awoken to the wheeling screeches of scavenging seagulls? Indescribable and comforting is what it is.  This is the image done on copper and printed on acid-free German etching paper. 6x8".

(Lower right)  A small oar-powered boat. Etched in copper, individually signed, titled, numbered.  Printed by hand on a manually operated press from the turn of the last century.  4x6" image size.  If you love the sea, you must have rowed a bit (and strongly, I might add) in one of these Maine necessities.

A truly common sight "Down East".

Ever try "Rock-running"?  I mean, you clamber up on these huge boulders by the sea, each one is skewed at a different angle to one another, and find a place to put your foot, then again, and faster this time.  Keep going until you are running and keenly searching for a surface that will provide slip-free footing.  If you miss, you might break an ankle or leg due to slipping down between the boulders, so your attention and focus during this activity is one hundred percent.  But it is really fun, challenging, and exciting! Now, doncha' just love Maine?!! Please be careful if you dare to try it.
