Tulsa Oklahoma Public Library – 1964 to 1966
ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN
In neighborhood branch library, assisted patrons by answering questions, finding applicable books, providing instructions concerning use of the library, and checking out books. Also maintained appropriate records, and rearranged shelved books as necessary for special promotions. While serving as temporary branch manager, supervised the work of part-time clerks, and selected, ordered and cataloged all new books.

Dallas Texas Public Library – 1962 to 1964
ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN
In fine arts department of central (downtown) library, assisted patrons by answering questions, doing research for them, finding applicable books, providing instructions concerning use of the department, and checking out books. Also maintained appropriate records, rearranged shelved books as necessary for special promotions, and selected, ordered and cataloged all new books describing theatrical arts and crafts. Set up and maintained two collections of ephemeral materials - high fashion (couture) and US theatre history. Wrote departmental newsletter.


Education Summary

University of Missouri Arts and Science Honor Student, BA in English and Speech; State University of Iowa NDEA Graduate Fellow in Speech and Drama. US Air Force Airplane and Engine Mechanic, Multiengine Pilot, and Navigator Schools. In-house company courses in power plant systems (1), personal development (5), and computer systems (13).
