ALAN PARENT of St. Albans, Franklin County, Republican, was born on August 1, 1974, in St. Albans, Vermont, and has been a lifelong resident.

Alan is recently married to his long time girlfriend Jennifer.  Jennifer teaches math and is a soccer coach at Bellows Free Academy in  St. Albans.

Alan is employed by Pizzagalli Construction Company in South Burlington, Vermont and works as a construction estimator.  He is also proud to aid his parents on their family farm. He was educated at Bellows Free Academy, St. Albans, Vermont and Vermont Technical College, Randolph, Vermont (B.S. - Architectural Engineering, 1998).

Alan was elected to the House of Representatives in 2002 and served on the Commerce Committee.  In 2004 he won re-election and served on the Fish, Wildlife & Water Resources committee, 2005-2006.
