How long will it take to finish the portrait?
It depends on the level of detail and size of the portrait. Usually I can finish a portrait in about 3-4 weeks. I may not
be able to start the portrait right away if I already have commissions I'm working on so if you need it by a certain date
please let me know and give me lots of advance notice. When I begin your portrait I will let you know and send you photos
of the work in progress.
What if I don't like the finished portrait?
The best way to avoid this issue is lots of communication early in the process and often throughout. I will tell you in
advance what will be included in the portrait and send you photos of the work in progress. I want you to be completely satisfied
with the portrait so if there is something you are unhappy with please let me know as soon as possible and I will try to fix
it. If it cannot be modified to your satisfaction then I will keep the portrait and you owe me nothing.
What if I want a portrait of 2 subjects but I don't have any pictures of them together?
I can combine different photos into a single portrait. What I'll need are photos that show the subjects in similar lighting
(i.e., the light coming toward the subjects from the same angle - the left or right).
What if the person/pet I want a portrait of is deceased?
Send me the photos you have (several if you have them) and I will see what I can do to create a memorial that captures
your loved one.
Are the pictures I have good enough for a portrait?
Read the Tips for Good Photos on my home page and if you are unsure if the photos you have will work just send them to
me and I'll let you know.
What if I don't have good pictures and don't live in lower Bucks County?
I would be happy to provide pointers for you if you want to try to get good photos of your pet. Alternatively, you could
have a local photographer take some pictures for you.
