MONROE COUNTY SHRINE CLUB SPONSORS FIRST ANNUAL

SHRINE BOWL CLASSIC

Since 1925, The Shriners of North America have sponsored the East-West Shrine Bowl Game to raise money for Shriners Hospitals and to help make the public aware of  the expert orthopedic and burn care available absolutely free of charge. To date, this game as raised more that $13 million dollars for Shriners Hospital and helped inform millions of people about the mission of this extraordinary philanthropy. This does not include the amounts raised by local shrine clubs who sponsor many local high school football games across the country.

This is “NOT JUST ANOTHER FOOTBALL GAME”  our standing slogan, “Strong legs run so that weak legs might walk,” is apparent in the willingness of the coaches and staff at James Monroe to help us in this great moment.  The true winners of this game are the children that receive totally free care at one of our 22 hospitals across the country.

The Monroe County Shrine Club is proud to announce that on October 17, 2008 the James Monroe Mavericks will host the Greenbrier East Spartans in this new endeavor. Please come out and support not only your favorite team but also the thousands of children that will benefit from this.  There is no extra charge for the game, we only ask that you open your hearts and help with whatever you can.

We hope to see you there!!!
