My
Testimony
I knew about
the Bible at 10 years old, but I resisted its message, because I loved darkness rather than light. At 17 years old, I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior. God
put in my heart to help the poor people, It was my concern to help them. I thought
in my mind how can I better help the people? I thought being a Doctor for free
to cure the people, or … lawyer for free to defend them… but God called me to become a Pastor and Missionary.
From the
beginning I doubted that it was true, because I thought that I was not worthy of that privilege, but after several encounters
with God I surrendered completely to Him and I accepted His call. The mercy of
God is great and He received me.
Al principio
yo dude que esto era verdad, porque yo pensaba que no era digno de aquel privilegio, pero despues de varios encuentros con
Dios me rendí completamente a El y acepté su llamado. La misericordia de Dios es grande y El me recibió.
It
is incredible as our Lord goes preparing everything, in such a way that allows that a person is able to complete His purpose. At the beginning I was devoted to minister to children for three and a half years,
then I was Pastor of a Rural Church, later I
returned as Pastor in the Church that I had grown up, the Bethel Baptist Church in Callao city. Little by little God was bringing me into an Evangelistic Ministry to different cities
of my country. Then I was National Coordinator of Evangelistic Campaings and
we carried them out in the Stadiums or Coliseums in some cities of the country.
At
the same time as I was developing my Evangelistic Ministry, I developed my Missionary Ministry, traveling to diverse cities
of the country supporting the weak Churches.
After
11 years of Pastoral Ministry, I had a great experience with God; I experienced a deep communion with God. In those days God reminded me his call again and these words came to my mind from Matthew 28:19 that says:
Go, then to all nations and make them my disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit. God reminded me that the Great Commission is for all nations. Then He called me to started new Church. I was comfortable
with my church, because we had 180 members, 2 Missions, but God called me start again.
It was difficult, but it necessary obeys to God and I made it.
After 4 years
that I started new Church we had 110 members, 2 Missions, 3 Associates Pastor, and I was comfortable. I was planning for the Church’s Goals for the next 5 years, when God reminded me my call and He made
me feel that it was necessary to leave of this Church. He reminded me that it
is necessary to be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in
Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8.
Then God opens the door and the Peruvian Baptist Convention called me to be the National Director of Missions.
The
biggest part of my responsibilities was to supervise and to train our National Missionaries. For it I traveled to their Missionary
field and helped them in their ministries. I trained their leaders and we went
out with them to evangelize and we shared many moments together. This inflamed
my heart a lot. I traveled to the Coast, Mountain and Jungle of my country.
I was very comfortable
with my ministry in Peru.
We have a big house with 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, and big yard inside for our Children, garage…. The school of
our children near to our house… we were very comfortable, when God reminded
me again my call and said .. “all nations”, no only Peru. I said no, no,. I am Okay here, I am feel well. But after several encounters with
God I decided obeyed him and with my family came to Pennsylvania, to ministry
among Hispanic people.
