School
On behalf of the students and faculty at Sidwell Friends, I express
my deep gratitude to you and the members of Tribe1 for your recent
exciting and inspirational visit to our School.
Despite the short period of time you were at SFS, your group made
a positive contribution to our entire student body. I was fortunate
to be able to visit several workshops you conducted and to be present
at some of the concert portions of your program as well. Your message
of peace, love, and harmony reached many people at our School on
many different levels. Our students especially were able to take
your message to heart. In the November 26, 1997, issue of our Upper
School student newspaper, Horizon, the article about "Let Your
Life Speak Day" had this to say about Tribe1: "The group
Tribe One performed poetry set to a musical beat and songs for the
closing assembly. The atmosphere they created allowed students and
faculty alike to let loose and have fun. Sophomore Sintana Vergara
said, 'Tribe One had a really positive effect on me. It made me
see people in a whole new way.' Most students agreed that the Tribe
One performance was the highlight of the day because it was so different
from anything that they experienced before..."
The impact of your good work will manifest itself in the future
in ways we can only/imagine. I wish you continued success as you
reach out to individuals of all ages to bring your message of peace
and love.

Fellowship of Reconciliation
Thank you so much for your fabulous concert at
the FOR National Conference! The evaluation forms from our participants
have been overwhelmingly positive, and your concert was mentioned
repeatedly (almost more than any other single element) as a highlight.
You brought a wonderful spirit and message that fit beautifully
with the rest of the conference. Everyone-young and old alike-loved
it.

I just returned from our Retreat and I could not wait to tell you
how much your CD added to our process....It was a magical assist
to connecting with our spirits.

It is the day after the "Retreat Day" at 'THE CORRECTIONAL
FACILITY' ... and I am still marveling at the effect of TRIBE1 on
the men inside and all who participated. It was a truly joyful and
inspiring experience. It was especially heartening for me to see
the men I know who, at times, have felt very discouraged...to be
nourished, indeed, washed over with love leaving them with a renewed
sense of purpose and acknowledgement of what they have accomplished.

The energy and inspiration which Tribe1 brings to the community
is truly exciting and I wish you all well as the way opens for an
ever expanding audience to receive the joy you all share.
