Terms and Conditions

Prepayment is required with all orders. We welcome your cash, money orders, personal and bank checks and Paypal. Personal checks must clear before the animals can be shipped. Please contact us by phone or e-mail to be sure the animal(s) you are interested in is still available before sending any money.

At Insular Exotics we strive to provide you with healthy stock at a fair price. All animals are guaranteed healthy on arrival. If a problem exists, file a claim with the carrier and contact us immediately. Failure to do so invalidates this guarantee. Insular Exotics will replace animals or refund payment for animals that die within 24 hours of arrival at our discretion. However, recipient will be liable for shipping for the original shipment as well as any replacement shipments.

All of our animals are healthy and feeding at the time of shipment and should continue to thrive for you. If you have difficulty with feeding or suspect any health problems please contact us as soon as possible. We will do everything we can, within reason, to assist you. Veterinary health certificates can be included at your request but will incur additional charges. Charges will vary depending on the level of testing you request.

We recommend all new acquisitions to any collection be quarantined for a minimum of 30 days. Examinations by your own qualified reptile veterinarian is also advisable.

Animals formerly were shipped via USPS Express Shipping unless customer requested otherwise. Because of repeated problems with timely deliveries we are more open to other shipping carriers and will consider the customer's personal preferences when selecting the shipping carrier. We will only ship when temperatures are 40-85 F along the entire shipping route. Shipping rates start at $20.00 and may go up depending on weight, carrier and temperature. Please contact us by phone or via e-mail with questions regarding shipping.

If you change your mind on the purchase of animals that are "ready to ship" the deposit will be refunded at 90% within the first 30 days, 75% within the first 60 days and 50% within the first 90 days. Deposits and payment plans delinquent more than 90 days will be forfeited. We understand that emergencies do arise but please stay in contact with us and we will work with you as best we can. Deposit balances may be transferred to another available animal within one year of the date we receive your original deposit.
