We all have a choice to try to find some joy in this difficult world, or just wallow
in our sadness and frustration..... I'm no expert, and have spent my share of time in clouds of sadness and frustration,
but when I'm able to break free of the grey shackles of doubt, I look for things that break up the monotony of emptiness.
Life can appear to be very complicated, with many real problems that easily can exhaust our hopes and
dreams, but it can be simplified as well.
I don't have answers for the really big questions that we all have. But I have found one answer
that does help a bit at times. The thing to do is....never forget how to laugh, or to be able to make yourself happy.
Today my cheery note for the day is to try to listen to a happy song. My choice for today, and
many other days is "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life". It's a great Monty Python song.
Sometimes we are overwhelmed by our own thoughts and problems, and
need a break from ourselves. That's why humor is so important. Most people can't make themselves laugh, but if
they can find something funny in this world, it would do them a bunch of good, and whoever they come in contact with.
To make a short story long, as I've just rambled on, anyway, the point of all this is that
I heard a news story the other day about an off duty fireman who was parked at a bus stop and got a ticket from a traffic
enforcement agent, and it infuriated him so much that he grabbed the guys radio and threw it on a roof.
I know it's wrong, but the visual of it must have been great. If you can imagine the
face of the two players involved, and the radio being launched onto the roof, hey, that's gotta bring a smile even to the
most miserable sad faces out there.

| Hey, can't I get a little privacy when I'm taking my bath? |
| Thanks for calling on me. |

Today's ordeal was with the tempermental computer printer combo. I'm
not sure who was the culprit, but it took me an hour to print something that normally would take thirty seconds. The
annoying thing is that when the problem is finally solved, there is no Aha! solution.
The thing finally works, but without explanation. Like an annoying tornado that blows in,
wreaks havoc, and then disappears like it never happened except for the ripped up trees, and thrown about cars and roofs,
and debris all over.
With the computer problem, it usually leaves behind a burning stomach, anger, frustration, and
a loss of sleep. My wise brother in law from the south, who eats cookies like a rat, explains it as they just don't
work right sometimes, for no good reason...I've learned to not take it personal, I just keep trying everything until the storm
clears. That was my ordeal for today.
