A listening device hidden in the mayor’s office, a conspiracy to
crash the nation’s financial system, a deadly green metal box with a life of its own, and a gang of downtown artists
with a talent for stumbling ass-backwards into trouble... welcome to 21st-century Philadelphia. Tristan Boumann, a perpetually wayward maven of Philadelphia’s creative
underclass, always on the make for a ladder up from obscurity, is offered a prestigious position at the service of a wealthy
and politically connected businessman named Jerry Solomon. But Solomon’s ostensibly noble endeavor is a front for a spy operation
targeting Philadelphia Mayor Jack Ranstead, who’s currently locked in a volatile campaign for a US Senate seat. As Tristan
and his crew stumble into the dark side of Solomon’s world and the conspiracy reveals itself, SEARCHING FOR SIGNAL spirals
violently out of control. The nine original songs which appear in SEARCHING FOR SIGNAL (along with
three instrumental themes) are available on a companion CD, produced and mixed by the author, and which features an all-star
cast of the Philadelphia music scene’s top talent. |

Like his protagonist Tristan Boumann, Eric Vincent once held a day job as a skip-trace specialist on contract with the Philadelphia Law Department. He is also a critically acclaimed composer and producer whose music has been internationally published, including award-winning soundtracks for Philadelphia's acclaimed Koresh Dance Company. Since 2001 he has owned and operated a media-arts laboratory called Studio Curve Dominant, which has recently branched into the field of brand strategies. "Searching For Signal" is his first novel, for which he's retained Philadelphia's premier arts & entertainment and pop-culture reporter and editor, A.D.
