Our Pastor is the Rev. Andrew C. Burr, who is married to The Rev. Dr. Karen Nell Smith, Pastor of The Congregational Church of Christ in Leominster. Andy and Karen Nell have two daughters, Mattie  and Connie. He was born and raised in Shrewsbury and has lived in various parts of Massachusetts his entire life.

A graduate of Andover Newton Theological School, Andy has served The First Congregational Church in Worcester , United Church of Christ, since 1997. His service to the wider church and community includes Chairing the Search Committee for a new Associate Conference Minister for the Central Association UCC, Member of the Central Association's Committee on Church and Ministry and its Peer Review Sub-Committee, Co-Chair of the Governance Council and Thomas Jefferson Award recipient of the Tatnuck Magnet School, as well as a member of various clergy and ecumenical groups.

Andy earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Lowell in accounting. Prior th the ministry he worked for five years for a small CPA firm followed by five years as Director of Administration & Finance; first for a national non-profit organization and then for an inner-city training organization based in Roxbury, Ma.

In addition to his duties as pastor here at the United Parish, Andy also serves as Chaplin to the Lunenburg Fire and Police Departments.
