Birth Control and Abortion

Fred M. Fariss

Birth control is antithetical to abortion. Failure to provide information and education about birth control in the form of condoms, to prevent the infestation and spread of AIDS is a form of abortion - post natal abortion. This form of abortion - after birth - is the all time high form of a criminal act of irresponsibility and negligence. In actuality, it is not a form of birth control at all, but a form of disease control.

The real issue at hand is the value of human life, particularly the women and children. Men are the key players in the promotion of ignorance and denial - politically and religiously. Consequently, the cultural mores and morality, rooted in thousand of years of ignorance in the form of primitive thinking is the real culprit behind the sad story of the plight of so many women and children.

For the lack of information and education and the lack of condoms, there is a death curse upon many families and children from which there is no freedom in the present context of the social order. Those do-gooders who amplify the sad condition of the children with pictures of swollen bellies and flies on their mouths, only amplify the symptoms of the social dilemma. From this situation they make an appeal for money to help the children have food and clothing. What the do-gooders do not recognize is that to feed the children only extends the cycle to another generation to repeat again the curse of death.

The problem is one of politics, philosophy and religion. The way of life of third world countries needs to change and emerge into the twenty-first century. Obviously, making these kind of changes will be met with great resistence because of the deep imbedded ideas that were planted many years ago.

Do-gooders may get a sense of a high feeling from seeing the children fed, but if they do not address the real problem, unwittingly, they enter into a collusion with the state of things that fostered the hunger, spread of AIDS, destruction of the family unit and the utter hopelessness that already exist.

Many different campaigns of all types from the UN to religion have been launched . All of them fall into the same trap. They address the symptoms rather than the real problem. The provision of food and clothing is not wrong. If the mind set of the adults and children remain the same, it is a verity that the cycle will repeat itself.

For example, religion has a history of blind stupidity in the form of preconceived ideas that are harmful to the people of Earth. Recall the flat earth theory, the opposition to Galileo, Columbus. The opposition to medical advances as well as scientific advances. The opposition to racial equality. While at the same time with pomposity beyond reason, they take a stand against abortion and birth control.

It sounds like some kind of weird opera, written to carry out the very death sentence for which it lays claim to be the deliverer. Irrational thinking predicated upon a distorted interpretation of religion of all kinds, is the enemy at the door of humanity, with the weapon of death disguised to be the instrument of life.

To be congruent in our intent to help the poor and hungry of third world countries, we must match our offer of food and clothing with information and education of the importance in the use of the condom. We must overcome any cultural resistance as difficult as it might be. Otherwise we are hypocrites, fostering the very state of conditions that we say we deplore.

Some might say: "What if the political system (the government) refuses to cooperate?" Then we will have to use whatever means of diplomacy to influence them to participate in the preservation of their own people. It will be a slow process. Educating the people is the real solution, even if it means by passing their form of government as well as whatever their religious beliefs might be. It is the truth that sets people free not politics or religion.

Don’t support the do-gooders who foster the present state of conditions regardless of how sincere they might be. Confront those who practice post natal abortion while at the same time they say they are against abortion and birth control. Remember - post natal abortion is the worst form of abortion since the person is already born and conscious of his dilemma. Hunger is a slow form of death. Isolation from the support of one’s parents is a living Hell.

When you see the pictures on TV of the hungry children with flies on their mouths, don’t feel sorry for them because they are hungry. Be sad for them because they sit in darkness of ignorance and distortion of what possibilities exist for them as human beings. Hunger is only a minor infraction in their lives. Worst of all, they have already been aborted and no ones knows enough to even care.

Send condoms to Africa!
