Many people who have played Metroid since the beginning can agree on one thing. Super Metroid is the greatest game on the SNES. Even though it was a return to Zebes this game added a huge amount of detail to enemies, areas, and the whole planet of Zebes. The first actual appearance of Space Pirates and Ki-Hunters made this game follow its roots exactly. Even though players felt the same when visiting Brinstar and Norfair the introduction of Maridia, Crateria, the Wrecked Ship, and New Tourian bought new elements of excitement into the game. The introduction of the Grapple Beam but preserving the Morph Ball at the same time makes new and old school gamers weep for joy.
