Tallon Metroid

The Tallon Metroid undergoes a slightly different lifecycle than a normal Metroid on SR388. When the eggs are exposed to Phazon they will join together in large groups to create a large cocoon. Once the Cocoon is exposed to proper Phazon amounts and conditions they will hatch into Infant Tallon Metroids that do not have fangs. When the Infants absorb more Phazon they will grow and become Tallon Metroids that are like normal Metroids hatched on SR388 except red in color. They are called Tallon Metroids because they originated on Tallon IV.

They feed eat and sleep like a normal Metroid through its large fangs. The excess Phazon prevents them from growing any more or from evolving into the Hunter or Alpha Metroid stage. If they are in danger they can channel some Phazon energy to make itself slightly larger in size and be more intimidating to an opponent. Sometimes these Metroids feed off Phazon energy as well as life force to stay alive.

The Space Pirates discovered the easy to transport Metroid Cocoons and immediately took action. They took these new Metroid variations to Aether and they fed them by throwing Space Pirates who disregarded rules into the Metroid containers solving the problem of two species. Although they were usually watched the glass used in containing the Metroids was weak so they eventually escaped and made meals of the Pirates around the area.
