Adult Sheegoth

The Adult Sheegoth is the apex predator of Phendrana Drifts. It has evolved large spikes on its back, which it uses to drag in electrical currents and neutralize them. It has the same adaptations as a Baby Sheegoth but it’s much more deadly. Its sheer size makes it a formidable threat to any creature that naturally resides in Phendrana.

To capture food the Sheegoth uses its icy breath to paralyze the creature in a casing of ice. If the prey is small enough the Sheegoth will eat it still incased. If the prey is bigger such as a Space Pirate the Sheegoth will eat than spit out compacted snow and ice at high velocity usually causing massive injury and frostbite to the target. The Sheegoth rests under large snowdrifts. Once a Sheegoth knows something’s nearby it explodes from the Snow Drift and attacks. Once two Adult Sheegoth mate they will have live young. When the Baby Sheegoth grow they’ll become adults. 

The ability to drag in and absorb electrical currents through their icicles made them a threat to the Space Pirate organization in Phendrana Drifts. The weapons were simply drawn into the spikes and absorbed harmlessly into the Sheegoths body. The Space Pirates decided experimenting on Adult Sheegoths was too much to handle due to the Metroid Prime and they ceased all attacks on Sheegoths.
