Lumigek

The Lumigek is a lizard that lives in the Impact Site of a Phazon meteor. Lumigek travel in large swarms of hundreds to find and absorb high amounts of Phazon energy and radiation. A Lumigek is protected well above Index Level P and can survive and feed off of Red Phazon. They have large, opposable, and adhesive Toes, which they use to scale any surface. They were discovered only on Tallon IV as of yet.

The Lumigek get together in large swarms to move around a site with a massive amount of Phazon. They move around constantly collecting it and eating it. Some is absorbed into the creatures skin making a large swarm extremely dangerous to unprotected creatures. They all mate and rest in small caves scattered throughout a Phazon Craters crash site. They store Phazon for food and lay eggs inside the nests as well. They mate through sexual reproduction.

A Lumigeks skin is slimy and wet and has the ability to hold many pounds of Phazon Energy and Radiation inside itself. After it consumes a large amount of Phazon the swarm goes back to rest while another swarm of a few hundred come out to feed. They have no outside protection so a blast can easily kill a swarm but since so few creatures can survive the high amount of Phazon the only creatures that may pose a threat is Space Pirate or Metroid.
