Grapple Guardian

The Grapple Guardian is another strange variant of Aether. When a Grenchler is teleported to Dark Aether and possessed by an ING it becomes a Dark Grenchler under normal circumstances. When an ING that has the Grapple Beams energy possessed a Grenchler the Grapple Guardian was created. Now instead of electrical shots this creature fires a thin grapple energy beam at a target. It is believed the ING infection tripled the Grenchlers size.

To capture and kill prey the Grapple Guardian corners the creature of its choice. Than the creature snags its prey with the Grapple rendering it nearly paralyzed. If the creature is small enough the Grapple Guardian will swallow it immediately but if it is larger the Grapple Guardian will try to wound the creature by beating it with its horn. Since only one Grapple Guardian exists it can’t reproduce.
