About
Us: St. Paul’s was founded in 1869 as St. Paul’s Reformed Church, and became St. Paul’s UCC in 1957 when the Evangelical and Reformed Churches merged with the Congregational Christian churches to form the United Church of Christ. Today, the congregation has about 350 members with a significant number of members coming from denominations outside of the UCC. This diversity of religious traditions guides our search for truth and gives us a style of openness and acceptance, in accordance with the UCC motto “That They May All Be One”.
Our mission statement reads as follows: The avowed purpose of this church shall be to worship God, to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to celebrate the Sacraments; to realize Christian fellowship and unity within this church and the Church Universal; to give caring, loving service to our church family and to all humankind; and to strive for righteousness, justice, and peace.
