This is a replacement backboard which has a beautiful array of stars which light up and make the machine look great.
The stars are blue pin points of light, not too bright, but plainly visible in normal room lighting. The stars are a nice
accent to the game. The photo does not do it justice. Each star is lit with EL wire technology for very low heat, low power
consumption, and long life. There are no bulbs to replace. The backboard goes in place of the original one and is wired to
12VDC on the main board.
I recommend connecting to TP3 using an insulated aligator clip to avoid modifying the machine. These are available at
Radio Shack. The ground connection can be made at any of the main board mounting screws using a ring terminal.
The glare you see in the photo on the surface of the backboard is not visible with the glass installed and the game powered
up.
