My inspiration for building the re-creation came from Paul Churchill of Baltimore's Watson's Tin Box Scion society. After visiting Paul's re-creation and collection, I realized how interesting and fun it would be to collect artifacts from the stories. I am very grateful to Paul for awakening the passion in me. Paul and I have become close friends and collaborators in 'finding' many long-lost original articles.

And I would also like to thank my wife, Joann, for being so understanding, and putting up with me. Like Mrs. Hudson, she has been a 'long suffering woman.'
