MARCH 2008

 

1 March 2008: Webelos Klondike Derby  (See Pack Calendar Additional Information for Details)

  • Who: Webelos Scouts
  • What: Klondike Derby.  "Mush" your sled from station to station and test your Cub Scout knowledge and teamwork skills as you compete for points against other Webelos Patrols in the District.
  • When: March 1, 2008 from 8:00-4:00
  • Where: Hugh Moore Park, Easton, Pennsylvania

7-9 March 2008: Cabin Camping @ Camp Minsi

 

13 March 2008: Roundtable Meeting @ Good Shepherd Church, 7:00

10 April 2008: Roundtable Meeting @ Good Shepherd Church, 7:00

 

12 April 2008: Conestoga Wagon Derby @ Weona Park, Pen Argyl, PA (See Pack Calendar Additional Information for Details)

  • Theme: Appalachian Trail
  • Where: Weona Park, Pen Argyl
  • Registration: 9:00am to 9:45am
  • Opening Ceremony: 10:00am
  • Start Time: 10:15am
  • Ending Time: 4:00pm
  • Cost: $7.00 per Scout / Includes Event Patch
  • Lunch Break: Food Stand on Site
  • Cub Scout Event: Held Rain or Shine

Dens build your Conestoga Wagon keeping in mind trophies will be awarded for Best Wagon at all den ranks. Test it out moving you way along the Appalachian Trail. Your travel will take you through ten States. Make sure you stop at each State to visit the Governor and test you Cub Scout knowledge . You are sure to have fun along the way but remember to “Do Your Best” because First, Second, and Third Place will be awarded for all den ranks.

Packs are asked to design a State Flag for one of the following States which will be represented, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Main. Flags will be judged with one trophy awarded for “Best State Flag”.

Anyone interested in serving as Governor of one of the States should contact John Metzger 610-905-3320 or Paul Frey 610-905-3873. Remember a skill will need to be tested at each Town for each Den level.

CAMP INFORMATION

 

Let the fun begin:

Resident Camp / Akelaland 2008:  We are currently scheduled to attend resident camp July 13th – July 18th.   The stay for Mini Week is July 13th – July 16th Mini week attendees can stay until the evening program is over.

FULL WEEK:  Scout Fee

Full: $260   Discount Fee: $240

                         Adult Fee

Full Camp: $17 per day or $80

MINI WEEK:   Scout Fee

                          Adult Fee

$160

$17 per day or $50 for 3 days

I will need to know ASAP how many will be in attendance for boys and adults full or mini week.  I need to inform the Council by January 31st of an estimated number of attendees.  I will also need a $100 dollar deposit by the end of February for all boys attending.  Final payment for the boys and full payment for adults is due by the end of May in order for me to send for June 15th deadline.
