Where We've Been
Welcome to our site!  Follow along our way across the country via US Highway 50 westbound, and then back via I-40 and various sections of the famous Route 66.

On this home page are pictures of us with our bikes  which we hope will not appear in obituaries or on milk cartons as "last seen in these photos...)
That way you can tell which of us is which as we add pictures and notes along the way to this journey log.

There's also a small map to provide the obligatory visual aid, and keep us remembering where the road is, sort of... larger map on next page.

This is slow-motion interactive tech; we won't post emails we receive (though be careful, we may quote from some). This ain't one a' them blog things. On the other hand, see below for the email address we'll be using, and we'd love to hear from you provided the messages don't start right out with " Are you crazier than usual? Go home and live a proper timid life !" Who knows, you might even get a reply - we probably will need to exercise our numb blistered fingers on the laptop's  tiny keyboard, being careful the computer doesn't fall into the tub in which we're soaking our saddle sores.

The Info. Tech. dept. ( Sue) says this will be great when the system is "up". Our mileage may vary, but we'll keep trying. Anyway, the plan is to add pictures and text as we go along. I'll apologize in advance as I'm sure the spelling and typing will decay rapidly once we reach the proper state of butt-sore, bleary-eyed, back-ached bliss that our long distance rider friends tell us is the best possible way to have fun  ;-]

Our route - see the "Today's News" map for details

Use the map on the "Today's News" page, by clicking on the headline column to the left of this first page. That map was updated along the way to mark where and when the trip went. This was to help you (and us!) keep track.
