Feeling the need to be perfect to ensure we'll be loved is as
familiar as the robin's whistle heralding spring. Am I too fat
to be loved? Do people think I'm dumb when I speak out? Mistakenly,
we feel unique in our struggles with our fears of inadequacy,
thus we fail to find comfort among friends and strangers who
share our selected fears.
If we could understand our sameness with others, we'd be able to feel the gentle urging within to acknowledge their presence, their smiles, and their messages, which are assuredly meant for our ears only. Their desire, like our own, is for the promise of love.
Unconditional love wants expression; pass it around and watch it return tenfold.
A better world

It may sometimes seem that the world is shallow and petty and focused only on meaningless, superficial concerns. Yet you can choose to live in a better world.
It may appear that there is an overwhelming amount of violence, despair and injustice in the world. Yet you can choose to live in a better world.
Look at the world in a positive light, and suddenly you've made it a better place. Act on the possibilities that you see, and you give real substance to your positive vision.
Imagine how the world would be if everyone became focused on the positive possibilities. By directing your own awareness toward those possibilities, and by acting on them, you make them more vibrant, more visible and more compelling.
By working to improve your own attitude and your own life, you become a living example for all the world to see. And a living example is hard to ignore.
The way a better world emerges
is one life at a time. Start with your own life, and let the
goodness quickly spread outward from you.
Believe that God will help you meet
Every challenge that is cast at your feet
And thank Him for helping you pass the test.
When you think life is most unfair
Remember to trust God to be there
Protecting you with people who care.
Many days bring both smiles and frowns
Life can be a mixture of good and bad
God wants us to be happy, never sad.
Remember God will always hear our call
Get up, put your life in His hands
Our life is a challenge and God understands.
