Dancing With God

When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing 'dance' at the end of the word and I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.

When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw 'G' I thought of God, followed by 'u' and 'i'.

'God, 'u' and 'i' dance.' God, you, and I dance.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life and once again, I became willing to let God lead.

My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.

May you abide in God, as God abides in you. Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life. This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached. If God has done anything for you in your life, please share this message with someone else.

There is no cost but a lot of rewards; so let's continue to pray for one another.

Creating the Relationship You Want
Meditation by Orin and DaBen

I relax my body. I take a few slow, gentle breaths in. As I breathe in I go inward, entering the world of my thoughts and feelings.

I imagine I am connecting with the center of my being, a place of great love and wisdom. I call back to myself any energy I have scattered out in the universe. I am growing centered and peaceful.

I put down any burdens that are not mine to carry. I affirm that everyone in my life has a higher self and soul that is always looking after them. Any lessons they are experiencing are exactly what they need to experience to grow stronger and wiser.

I put my hand on my heart and I say to myself, "I love you. You are a good person, doing the best you know how." I know that loving myself is the most important step to having what I want in a relationship.

I think of someone with whom I want to create a loving relationship. I know that I can only change myself, and I release any need for the other person to change. I can change my reactions to others and thus change my relationships.

I think of the other person as a mirror. Whatever this person is not giving me is a reflection of something I am not giving myself.

I think of the essence of what I want in this relationship. This might be a feeling of connection, love, or being appreciated and noticed.

As I note what I want from the other person I reflect on how I can give this to myself. As I give this quality to myself, I attract relationships that give this to me as well.

I let go of any forms or particular ways I want the other person to express this essence. I open to receive these feelings from this person in any form and in any way.

I open to receive this essence from everyone and anyone.

I create what I want in a relationship by focusing on what I love about the other person and what is right about our relationship, rather than focusing on what is wrong.

I express what I love and appreciate about the other person with my words, actions, and thoughts.

I think about what I am giving to this relationship, rather than about what I am getting.

I reflect on something loving I can do for this person, and I do it.

I feel good about myself no matter how the other person is acting toward me.

I honor myself in all that I do. I now have the relationships I want in my life, and I have let go of those that do not honor me. I know when to stay in a relationship, and I know when to leave.

All my relationships are supportive and loving.
