The original dodger was in very bad shape. The windows were clouded and cracked, the fabric was faded white, and
the plastic covered aluminum frame was "bubbled" due to corrosion underneath.
Neil met with me in February at their loft in Bristol and described available options so decisions could be made.
The frame would be upgraded to stainless steel, and instead of a webbed strap used to keep it taught, a deck fitting would
be installed so an extension on the stainless frame could be anchored with a quick release pin. The dodger would
be extended forward for a more gradual slope, and extend further aft by about 6" for better cover over the companionway.
The fabric selected was Pacific Blue Sunbrella to complement the blue waterline stripes and match the sail & tiller
covers. In late February, Neil met me on Rhapsody to take measurements and discuss mounting location alternatives.
