Where do you find a class that young adults come together for food, fellowship, fun, and bible study? The answer is Gathering
Place at 9:45 am Sunday mornings.
The Today's Living Class (TLC as it is affectionately known) was formed in early 1998.
The class consists of college students, single adults, and married adults-with and without children.
The class is led (or
facilitated as Tim likes to say) by Tim and Janet Sheldon. Janet has been a member of First Baptist her entire life, while
Tim has been a member for about 17 years. Tim uses scripture to teach life applications in the class (How does the Bible apply
to us). Janet offers brief studies on family life and other subjects from Focus on the Family resources. These sometime involve
audio & video reference material.
The class has fellowship activities frequently. These include cookouts, family fun
nights at the church activity building, and dinners throughout the year. There are always lots of fun and fellowship when
the class gets together. Many new friendships have been formed within the class.
If you're looking for a Sunday school
class (Age 20-50+) to join, then maybe TLC is for you. Come and sit in a few times and we're sure you'll want to return. If
you're like a lot of people, you may leave home on Sunday morning without eating anything or even getting a cup of coffee,
then you'll definitely want to try them, they always have some type of food, coffee, and punch in the classroom. So come eat,
fellowship and learn more about the Lord with the TLC class.
