My name is Andrew Matthews and I serve as the senior pastor of Evangelical Baptist Church in Laconia NH.  I am married to Sue Ellen (originally from the Laconia area) for 20 wonderful years and share in this ministry with her.  We have two grown daughters, Katie Golden in North Carolina, and Amy in Virginia. 

            Prior to moving to Laconia, I have spent most of my life living on the east coast of Canada where I served as a pastor for 15 years.  We have most recently moved here from Lynchburg Virginia where Sue and I both completed Master’s degrees and worked at Liberty University.  I am continuing to work on my Doctorate of Ministry which I hope to complete in another year. 

            I am excited to be here at EBC and to be living in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.  My preaching style is expository narrative, through which I hold a high value to the biblical text.  I desire to be a shepherd to the congregation of EBC and a pastor within the community.  I strongly believe the community should be a better place because of the ministry of our church.  If you are looking for a Pastor in your life to provide spiritual guidance, or assistance through one of the trials of life I would love for you to call on me anytime.
