Welcome to the second year of my craftpage! Fall is back, and I've started it with scarecrows (as usual!) This year, my firend Michael Smolak asked me to make him some special scarecrows for his farm stand; I've also finished this year's entry in the Scarecrow contest at the Publick House in Sturbridge, MA! I can't wait to get pumpkin carving again too! Check out this year's scarecrows! AND: on October 15th, I carved a 340 lb pumpkin at Smolak Farms' "Great Pumpkin Day" for the 11th year in a row! In the SCA, we have fun recreating the best things about the Medieval Period: the Arts and Sciences, games and events that made this time special. We just got back from Harper's Retreat, where I took my neices along for some medieval fun!
