ONE WAY CAFE: Presents guest Christian band Raging Grace on Saturday, November 21st. The doors open at 7:00 PM with plenty of snacks and food from the grill.

NEW MEMBERS: We will be accepting new members into our church family on Sunday, December 6th.

THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE: For at least 30 years East Brookfield Baptist Church & 1st Congregational Church of N. Brookfield  have held a joint Thanksgiving Eve Service.  This year it will be held at the 1st Congregational Church on Wednesday, Nov 25th at 7:00 PM.  This service will include a wonderful time of worship led by the Congregational Church Praise Team and some great special music, including a number performed by the combined Choirs of both Churches.  Light refreshments will be served in Fellowship Hall after the service.   

 

10th ANNUALTHANKSGIVING DINNER! Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Noon here in Fellowship Hall. Come and join us! We make dinner so you don’t have to. Transportation to & from dinner is available. We can also bring dinner to you. Please RSVP by Sunday, November 23rd. Walk-ins are always welcome. Dinner is FREE!!! To reserve your place at the  table, please call Shelley Fullam at 508-867-7686 or Bonni Holmes at 508-867-8022.

CAN YOU HELP?  If you have the time to help set-up and clean-up as well as deliver meals to shut-ins we would really appreciate it. Also, pies of any kind are always needed. Please see Shelley Fullam if you have a pie to donate or if you can help drive, clean-up or set-up. Thanks!

THE QUILTING GROUP will be meeting on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 PM beginning on December 2nd. (instead of Thursdays) for the winter season. This should help conserve energy by heating Fellowship Hall one time for God's Girls and Quilting on the same day.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT: Rehearsals for the Christmas Eve Children's Pageant will be held every Saturday until Christmas from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church. For details, please see Lene Guertin.

3RD ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TEA & COOKIE SWAP: For all of the women of the church! The Tea will be held on Saturday, November 28th at 1:00 PM in Fellowship Hall. You will need to bake 3-dozen cookies. Separate 1-dozen to share with all who attend. The other 2-dozen will be part of the swap. Please bring a container to bring the 2-dozen cookies that you choose home with you. There will be a variety of teas to sample as well as hot chocolate and warm cider. Please contact Laurie Drake if you plan to attend and let her know what ttype of cookies you will be bringing. POINSETTIA "IN MEMORY OF" LIST: This year we will begin to have an "In Memory List" for the Christmas Poinsettias just as we have for our Easter Lilies. If you would like to donate a poinsettia and have a loved one's name placed on the list, which will be printed out and placed in the bulletin on December 20th, please contact Laurie Drake at 508-867-3457 or email her at nitnit@msn.com . The poinsettias are delivered to those in our church family or community who are sick, shut-in, have suffered a loss or are residents of a nursing home facility. Deadline is November 29th.
