The Parents Club is dedicated to ALL organizations and clubs, academic as well as athletic at South High School.  We are available to lend a hand to any organization or club that asks for our assistance. The bulk of our fundraising is through:

o      Membership applications,

o      Selling snacks, hot dogs and popcorn at sporting events

o      Moonlight bowling @ Sandee Lanes in Malverne

o      Governors Comedy Club night

The money we earn from fundraising is put back into the school community. Some of the ways we do this are:

●  By provide each graduating class with four (4) academic scholarship awards totaling $1,000.00

●  We provide music trophies to recognized students in band and orchestra

●  Host the Varsity Dinner Awards Night by providing food, trophies, and awards

●  Assist with Pre Prom activities

●  Host the JH Sports Dessert Recognition Night

●  Help clubs by either donating money or volunteering time

●  Assist the Cultural Society’s Cultural/Language Dinner Theater and World Culture Nights

●  Participation in the S.A.D.D. volleyball tournament

●  Assist with homecoming events

●  Donate hot chocolate and snacks to the Band for the Newsday Marching Band Festival

●  Help during the Sr. High Barbecue

●  Assist the baseball & softball teams with a pancake breakfast-clinic

●  Assist the wrestling team with the Paul Grammatico Wrestling Tournament

●  Help serve during the Drama Club’s Senior Citizen Dinner Theater

These are just a few examples of events that the Parents Club participates in throughout the year. This would not be possible without people who volunteer their time to make the Club successful.
