Louise is heading up the effort to find a new Literacy Coordinator to lead RIFLI through the challenging and exciting road ahead. Interviews are being conducted in the first few weeks of May and we hope to have a new Coordinator to introduce to everyone soon afterwards. Some promising resumes have been received, but Kristen has left big shoes to fill. We will keep you posted, but please feel free to call Sherry, Naomi, Karisa or Evelyn with any questions or concerns about the process.

Great news!  PPL has 3 computers to give away to our students.  The student with the best attendance will receive one (if they haven't received one in past years).  The other two will be given to students based on teacher (you or your team's) recommendation.  If you have a student you would like to nominate, please submit a short paragraph to ktashjian@yahoo.com describing why you recommend this student.  There is no set criteria.  Two students will randomly be selected from the recommendations received.  Only 2 recommendations per class.  Recommendations must be submitted by June 1st.   The computers do not have modems.  They will have some basic software (including children's software).
